Club Souto was built in 2017 by the small music festival Souto Rock, as ‘winter sessions’ of this mythical DIY summer festival that was founded in 2005. Promoted by Associação Cultural e Recreativa de Roriz, Club Souto was born in a rural area of Barcelos, a town in the North of Portugal with a large tradition of garage bands since the 90s. Barcelos was thirsty for small venues for live music and, then, Club Souto was founded in the bar Plátano Koberto, in Roriz. Now, there is a place that gets together public and emerging artists in a homey and festive spirit.
